So I just finished Topscore #2 and one of the questions asked which one of the following is not an AA? I'm sure it's an easy question for people who have taken BioChem but I haven't taken it yet so I got the question wrong... Should I know the names of ALL 20 amino acids? 🙁

No, but you should have a rough idea between AA and other structures, such as steroids and hormones, etc.

you don't have to know all the single details of their structures
but you need to know all the general structures of compounds like amino acids, steroids, fats, etc
the only thing you should remember I think is glycine which is the only amino acid that has no chiral center because its R group is a H.

The -COOH (carboxylic acid) group will be deprotonated and the -NH2 (amino) group will be protonated. It's also called a zwitterion.
