Question is attached.

I am sure that there are vaccines containing outer membrane protein. There are also capsular polysaccharide vaccines and conjugate vaccines.I also remember there vaccines containing N.meningitis DNA.

Which ones are regularly used in the USA ?

the thinking I go with is infant through college/adult get conjugate vaccines; elderly get capsular vaccines
remember the vaccine only covers serotypes a,c,w,y
both n gono and n meni display 'antigenic variation' via variable expression of pilin (for pili) proteins
the lack of type B vaccine is in part due to type b's coat being similar to sialic acid, which is present on human cells, and thus a poor antigen
'meningitis belt' in subsaharan africa shows epidemics of n meni due to lack of vaccinated hosts, and is mostly due to vaccine covered serotypes
