does anyone have any experience with stuhrling watches or opinions about them? I was considering getting this, but ended up just replacing the leather band on my swiss army instead...

I dont really need it to last more than a year
Good find. Can't beat that price.
I just bought it. I hope they weren't serious about "1 left in stock". Sorry for being a ninja 🙁

that's gonna be way too late for my interviews.
I ended up purchasing this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=436518401&pf_rd_i=507846
It costs $50 more, but meh 🙁
I'll be wearing black suit, white shirt, black belt, black shoes. I hope brown strap won't matter, if it does I can change the strap for $20, but I hope I won't need to

I'm wearing my stainless steel wristbanded watch that has a scratched glass face plate. To each his own.
what was your verbal score, just curious 🙂
j/k
I've spent enough money on a suit, secondary fees (almost $900) and primary fees (AACOMAS and AMCAS) along with interview costs so I'm not buying a new watch. Maybe I won't even wear it so they can see my awesome watch tan. I never take this thing off.Welcome to the club👍
I believe it is nylon coating leather, my watch came with a similar band, no clue if it is suit acceptable, but it does look niceI like that watch, but not the band. You think that band is acceptable for wear with a suit? It looks like nylon.

Seriously. That band is ugly, and the watch itself doesn't look very good either.Price=quality?
I wear a big, clunky titanium Citizen Eco-Drive chronograph.Seriously. That band is ugly, and the watch itself doesn't look very good either.
I wear my stainless steel citizen eco drive watch everywhere, and it looks a lot better than that €12,000 one.
you guys are way too anal about watches. jeez. as long as it isnt ridiculous, i think it will be fine. and doesnt the shirt and jacket cover it anyway? lol
It recharges its battery with light, so as long as I don't break it, it should last damn near forever.

Thats... odd.I had an eco-drive a few years ago, owned it for less than a month and the glass cracked from end to end with pieces broken off onto the face. I have no clue what caused it crack either, just noticed it one night while out at dinner. I thought the same, this thing should last forever, my forever was a couple of weeks. 😛
never have seen anyone without a tie. I've seen people in slacks & a blazer instead of a suit, but even that's pretty rare.Does anyone actually go to interviews without a tie on?
I read the post about half way down this page and one person was considering it, is that alright or will it result in almost instant rejection?
I'd love to go without a tie (looks WAY better) but I would never do it unless it was considered reasonable attire.

Price=quality?
That would be me!
My understanding was that it's a huge rarity, but hey, I like rarities.
In practice? I'll be that guy wearing, uh, the tie. I suspect it doesn't make nearly as much difference as most of the people in this thread may think, but still.
I think you misunderstood me. You mentioned that someone's ludicrously expensive watch would be fine with suits for not other reason than its price. That's absurd and very superficial. Also, how many interviewers will look at someone's watch and think "Wow, that's a $10000 watch. It sure does go well with his suit." I'd say probably none. Most won't know (or care) how expensive your watch is just by looking at it.
You should definitely go tie-less.
Seriously?
I wouldn't go tie-less do to the risk of ****in myself over before I even start my interview. I'm just curious about whether anyone has ever actually done it, and succeeded. If someone has, what kind of response did you get?
I was not being serious. It was just that the young man was confident that it wouldn't matter so I figure I would egg him on.
In retrospect, I think he should go shirtless but with tie. With his love of rarities, I hope he does it.
anyone knows where I can find small suits? I am looking for 32Short or 34Short. I tried on my friends' 36Short and I think it was too big for me. I am also wondering if there are suits with 32 "extra short" or 34 "extra short"
thanks~
Look in the boys section.![]()
what size in the boys section would be approximately equivalent to 32-34 Shorter than "32S or 34S" ?
hahah thank you! you guys take the cake. jeez that watch discussion bored to death lol .... lots of love!I can't believe you guys are seriously questioning what watches to wear. No one will see your watch unless you purposely pull up your sleeve to expose it while around an interviewer. I have a 7+ year old chronograph Tag in stainless steel that has held up great and will wear that (I don't care if it doesn't match my suit). Pay for a quality watch and it will last you a lifetime. Citizen, Fossil, etc, are all crap from my personal experience. An automatic Omega Seamaster or Speedmaster is on my hitlist in the near future. 😎
