For prompts that say "why did you take a gap year" do yall think it's beneficial to omit mentioning it is your second cycle especially if you are not a reapplicant at that particular school?

For new schools, I would mention your gap year experiences and what you got out of them. For schools that you are reapplying to, mention how you strengthened your application. For what it’s worth, I was a reapplicant to all 4 schools that I received an interview at this cycle.
