Mentioning accepted school names in newspaper article

I recently won an award and had some newspapers reach out to write an article about me. One of them asked which med schools I've been accepted to and I told them but now I'm wondering if that was a bad idea. Is there some way that could backfire on me? I am also waiting to hear back from some schools I'd prefer going to so idk if my mentioning other schools on record would affect me somehow if someone saw the article.

I would keep that information private. You have nothing to gain by mentioning it.

Don't stress, the chance they either see the article before they've made a decision on your application is small. I am guessing its a local newspaper? If you already said it don't worry, but if you can ask them to redact it then that's fine

Congrats. I would relax. How could this backfire on you? As long as you were actually admitted to the schools you mentioned, then you were simply stating facts. The fact that you were admitted to a school is in no way privileged information. If other medical schools see this article (doubtful they will), then they will see that you have been accepted to multiple other programs, which at best increases your credibility/desirability as a candidate (as long you didn't mention plans to attend of the schools you talked about) and at worst has no effect.
