I have my MEPS/physical for my navy HPSP this week! Wish me Luck!

I've read a lot of threads about MEPS, so I think I know what to expect, but any last minute advice? Like I shouldn't eat before I go, or I SHOULD eat before I go? Wear pants with socks and athletic shoes and decent underwear. No electronics and bring a book.... Anything else??

I've heard HPSP applicants either take like 2 hours or a full day, but it looks like I don't need to sit for the ASVAB.

Medically I should be sound.

I really want this so I don't want something stupid to make me medically disqualified, like having a low iron count in my blood or something dumb that a vitamin could fix easily...

Anything? Thanks!

Edit: paper trail.

Medically I should be sound. One of my nursing friends was practicing his blood pressure this year and he told me I have premature ventricular contractions. I looked it up, and they are asymptomatic, so I should be fine.

Pay attention and do the paperwork right the first time. Do eat before you go, bring a snack and a paperback, and for God's sake don't mention anything about your friend saying you have anything other than RRR unless you want to come back for a full cardiology eval at some later date. Don't mention that one time at band camp that you got poison ivy... you'll be seeing A&I. Don't mention that time you twisted your back and had to see a chiro for two weeks unless you want to go for an ortho eval. MEPS personnel are the most conservative medics on the planet because once you're in the military owns your problems and all the costs associated... much easier just to say no thanks.

Excellent. Thanks for the response! I will keep my mouth shut.
