I have wanted to go to Mercer since I have wanted to be a pharmacist, my aunt went there and has always spoke highly of it. I, however, do not believe I have a chance of getting in there, so I haven't even considered it to be one of the schools I should apply to. I don't know if it would be worth it to spend the extra money and apply, especially if there is hardly any chance of me getting in. My GPA is 3.65, 3.7 in pre-req's. I haven't taken the PCAT, I will be taking it in August, but have done well on the practice ones I have done. I am working on my application now and want to have everything done before I take the PCAT, but wanted to know if I did have a chance at Mercer. I have also shadowed my aunt at her pharmacy.

Your GPA is good. The only disadvantage you may have is that you have to do excellent on the PCAT the first time you take it. My advice is to go ahead and submit your application, that way as soon as they receive your PCAT score they can make a decision and not have to wait on anything else. The timing is already going to put you into the middle of the acceptances, being that some will have already interviewed and been accepted before they even receive your scores. As far as the money goes, don't be concerned about application fees! Its better to apply to more schools as far as your chances of getting in go. If you're worried about tuition, Mercer being private and all, that is a completely different story!!! GOOD LUCK!

you have a good shot I think, 3.7. My friend got in with somewhere around 3.7 with a 78 PCAT score. He was put on waiting list but he finally got in. But he was put on wait list because he literally submitted his application like last day. He didn't have any pharmacy experience. He did get 4.0 throughout his entire sophomore year though.
