This post is going to sound manic, bear with me.

Whee! Does anyone else have their interview date for Mercer feb 2nd? I'm pretty flattered since quite a few people applied there last year, I think, but for some reason I think my personality's going to turn them off (I'm pretty reserved; I'd like to go there for the PharmdMBA, either way); I'll have to look up what interview questions they typically ask.

Of course I'm seeing the flipside to this. I'm DYING to hear from UNC already. While the dual degree program at Mercer is very attractive, I also love chapel hill. I keep hearing people around my school saying "Oh I had a pharmacy school interview yesterday..."; it's a bit unnerving. Hopefully Mercer will take a little time deciding whether to accept me because UNC's going awfully slowly about deciding on interviewees. I'd at least like the choice between the two.

And a kind of random question that might belong in the interview feedback: How much does Mercer emphasize religion? I put that I was agnostic on my application (which I am). I know they have a kind of southern baptist background, but is being familiar with christianity important?

Mercer has actually just last year severed their formal ties with the Southern Baptist convention. This subject did not come up in my interview, and after being there a semester, I think I can safely say that it is not something that is a big deal in terms of acceptance- not like PBA for example. One the other hand, since it is a private school there is certainly some openness when it comes to religion - invocations before public events, etc. PM me if you would like more details.

i heard those who interviewed at Mercer got put on the waitlist so they could look at your second pcat score. Just wondering, what are your pcat scores? I have an interview on the 23rd and have a average pcat score and am pondering whether i should spend 500 bucks on flight and hotel.

I was interviewed in the middle of November at Mercer and was deferred (not necessarily because of my PCAT scores... there was nothing that they needed to see, just deferred me as they did with MANY others). I had a 3.67 GPA and PCAT 85.

has anyone heard from Mercer lately? I interviewed on 1/19, and they said they would get back to us with some sort of decision by this week. Just wondering...

I don't know if anyone has heard anything, but make sure you are checking your snail mail, not e-mail... Mercer notified me of my status through regular mail.

Good luck!

I received an acceptance letter 2 days ago from Mercer so you all should hear from them really soon.

I was deferred, and now I'm not really sure how long it will be before I hear something.
