I noticed another thread on Mercer's upcoming class. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about what is going on with the waitlist.

Any movement? Anyone on the waitlist been accepted?

Also, when is the first day of classes?

Financial aid meeting: June 28
Orientation: Aug 11-15
White coat ceremony: Aug. 17
Classes start: Aug. 18

Have you called the school and asked if there was any movement?

Does Eveland tell you guys where you stand on the list when you're informed you're on the waitlist? For some reason I thought the school used to do that, but dunno if they still do.

A friend of mine (who is now an intern) was accepted the week of orientation. I've heard of people who were accepted the first week of classes (people dropped out because they didn't recognize the time demands, one person in my class was dismissed on professional charges -- he was allowed to attend pending an appeal, and his appeal was rejected... long story).

Things can move pretty late!

I was waitlisted the last week of March and then accepted less than a week later. There must be some movement because I definitely moved!
