So this fall semester was my last semester and I messed it up. Major case of senioritis and having a girlfriend. I had a cGPA of 3.94. Its looking like my semester gpa is about to be in the 3.2-3.6. What do I do? How bad is this? My cGPA is gonna be around 3.8ish
Are you applying in the future, mid application, or already accepted?
I am a future applicant, Im gearing up to apply this cycle.
It probably will hurt a lot
It probably will hurt a lot
Medical school will be even more difficult. It's not the GPA, it is your story that sends a message that is concerning to admissions committee members. There's a work ethic that is hindering you compared to other applicants who will not have such baggage. If I get a 3.5, is it still bad? My classes were difficult. Any ideas on what to do?
At my school they’re 3.5B+’s ARE 3.33s

What were your grades? Any C’s? Or just B’s?
Bc B’s, “bring down” your GPA, but it’s not necessarily a downwards trend. If you averaged B+’s this semester, I feel like it wouldn’t/shouldn’t hurt (?)

No Cs. Just B+s
In this case, you're probably OK.No Cs. Just B+s
In this case, you're probably OK.
Sometimes you have to apply with the app you have, warts and all. If you don't apply, your rejection rate will be 100%,after all.
Can't make that assumption because essentially any upper lvl physics (advanced quantum mechanics) or math class (differential geometry) is probably more intellectually demanding than med school courses for most people. I hope adcoms (which I think you are?) realize that.Medical school will be even more difficult. It's the volume of the material, genius. Can't make that assumption because essentially any upper lvl physics (advanced quantum mechanics) or math class (differential geometry) is probably more intellectually demanding than med school courses for most people. Correct. The OP made it seem more dire.I mean a B+ semester isn’t that bad right?

In other news, curse those KH3 leaks! So this fall semester was my last semester and I messed it up. Major case of senioritis and having a girlfriend. I had a cGPA of 3.94. Alot can learn the med school material... I bet a lot of med school students would get Cs in real analysis lmao. In what degree he meant "hard" is ambiguous... but you're assuming in volume, which is a no no assumption. It's the volume of the material, genius.
