Are there any new or interesting drugs that contain metal elements?

If so, could you let me know of the name?
 
Silver, gold, and platinium...and iron.... and all those elements that go into TPN...It really is an easy subject. You shouldn't even have to ask. Do your own work.
 
Arg...Its not like that. I'm just wondering if there is anything different from the norm.

Gold therapy for rheumatoid arthritis. Not new,though and hardly used. 🙁
 
Wound care-> there are [expensive, mind you] wraps/bandages that contain silver in them as an antimicrobial. Good for a lot bugs surprisingly, i.e pseudomonas MRSA strep etc.

Actisorb is one that comes to mind that has silver. This has carbon in it too for odorous wounds. Acticoat is another.
 
Iron products...ferrous sulfate, ferrous gluconate, ferrous fumarate....iron dextran and iron glucose in the IV setting...and don't forget the week of iron aded to the placebo in some OCs.

And isn't iron what makes calamine lotion all pretty and pink?
