The MetroHealth Medical Center Department of Dermatology located in Cleveland, Ohio is now accepting applications for dermatology residency positions to begin in July, 2011.

The Department of Dermatology is composed of 13 faculty members: five general dermatologists, six dermatopathologists, a Mohs micrographic surgeon, and a pediatric dermatologist. The Department Chair is Dr. Marlene Willen and the Residency Program Director is Dr. Bryan Davis.

MetroHealth Medical Center is one of the oldest public hospitals in the country, having served the population of northeast Ohio for over 170 years. The hospital has been affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine since 1914, and is one of its principal teaching hospitals.

I talked to the program coordinator and this position will be outside of ERAS for a 2011 start date.

abefromann, when you say 'this position', can we take that to mean the residency class will consist of one person or are you speaking in more general terms?

Thank you for your interest. Currently we are in the process of obtaining activation on ERAS. We hope to have that happen in the next week or so. We would like you to apply through ERAS for consideration to our program.

what's the deal with this prog? I got an interview offer, but it said something about other people's apps being incomplete. that didn't make sense to me. also, what's the story with how they merged with case western? are they 2 differnt programs? i could find this out on my own, but my brain hurts and i don't want to sleuth, so someone please tell me. thanks, you bunch of awesomes.

MetroHealth and Case used to be 1 program. Was split in 2 this year for match. Case = academic ; Metro = county hospital.

Case and Metro are separate programs interviewing separately as of this interview season.
