I just received an interview invitation to Miami for Nov. 11th. Anyone else out there? Has anyone already interviewed with Miami that can tell me what to expect?? Thanks.

I am interviewing on the 18th since I have to travel there. Let me know how it goes! Good luck 🙂

I'll be anticipating your experience, as I have an interview there on Dec. 2.

Kevin

I'm interviewing on the 18th too! Does anyone know if they even have seats left?

I am interviewing with Miami soon as well! I haven't heard back about a confirmed date yet as I just got the email today. But they offered Nov. 18th, Dec. 2, and Dec. 16. Hopefully I'll be interviewing the 18th. And dptdreamin, I am sure they have spots left if they are still inviting people to interview. jtux, let us know how the interview goes and if there were any particular questions/things to know that would be helpful. Best of luck to everyone on their applications and interviews!

For those of you who interviewed in October, have you heard from UM already? How quickly did UM respond?

Hey everyone start checking the mail, I got an acceptance letter the other day. I interviewed on October 14th. Anyone else hear back yet?

Congrats on the acceptance walrus. I interviewed on Nov. 18th so hopefully I will hear back by January if it takes as long as did for you. Did anyone else here interview with Dr. Robert Gailey and get asked some serious ethical questions? I was completely surprised (and so were some friends of mine who interviewed at Miami on the same day). It seems like he is the only one at Miami that asked those types of questions as everyone else said they just had a more laid back conversation so the interviewer could get to know the person.

I interviewed on Friday and they said they would respond by March 1. So it usually takes 2-3 months for a reponse.

Kevin

Kirby, I didn't interview with Dr. Gailey, but I did get a few ethical questions related to academic honesty/integrity as well as how one conducts themselves in social media. I'd say my interview was a good mix of laid back and questions that kept me on my toes.

I got an acceptance letter a couple of weeks back! Sent in my deposit and everything. Any one else going to UM??

hey guys, i interviewed jan 20th and received acceptance on jan 26th. unfortunately, I choose columbia instead, so there will be a spot opening up! good luck!

The University of Miami is a completely disorganized program with no clear objectives and no staffing to help students. After you graduate, you are told that UF grads get all the jobs and you will be left without options. Do not come here! I made a big mistake..do not apply or come here.

I'm always skeptical of students who come to these forums to malign their programs. Why do you think UM is a terrible program? I haven't heard anyone else on these forums say anything bad about UM or Miller. UM has a high pass rate so I find it hard to believe that UF students take all the jobs, especially when you consider that the schools are six hours apart from each other. As a student at another Florida school, I guess I should be worried too.

Good thing no one on this forum is going into the MD program!

When I went to Miami's interview in November I fell in love with the program. I think its great and after graduating students will have endless opportunities. Unfortunately I haven;t been accepted yet, but still believing for that acceptance before March.

My sister, along with some other friends, earned there MD from UMiami and they were not hard-pressed to find jobs.

As far as the PT program, I had a few offers even before graduation, and I'm sure my education here contributed to my acceptance into a residency program. And as far as I know, all my classmates found jobs without too much trouble too. I have no regrets about coming to UMiami.
