I know this might be a silly question for some of you, but for some reason, I really don't know what to choose!

I live in Illinois so Michigan would be close to home and it's supposed to be a great school! Upenn is a really great school, but it's a little far. The instruction is top notch, and a friend of mine that goes there tells me it's some tough stuff.

I don't know what to choose! Help!

Tough call, but I would choose Michigan; but Penn if you received the Dean's Scholarship. Vertically Integrated Clinics might help you out by the time you're in D3 and treating patients. Plus it doesn't hurt that UMich is about 10-12k less per year out of state compared to UPenn.

But if you want to go to a "great school", choose Michigan. If you want to go to a "really great" school, choose Penn. Personally, I feel safer in Ann Arbor and it doesn't hurt that its cheaper (in your case, closer to home). Best of luck with your decision.
