I was on the wait list. I was notified on December 5th, interviewed in September and then on December 19th I got an acceptance letter. Not much help with info but from what I could tell it is a short wait list that goes fast. Good Luck!

Just wondering if any one knew anything about the waitlist at Michigan? I had an interview back in December and was notified I was placed on the waitlist when I called today. I did not bother asking her a lot of questions because she said something will be mailed out to me - so that may answer some of the questions.
A few questions I had if any one would know are:
Do they tell you your position on the list?
Does everyone who interview go onto a waitlist or are people rejected after being interviewed?
Any one know how many people go on it and do they draw continuously off it or is it a one time deal?
Any one know what percentage of people on the list actually get offers of admission from past years?
Michigan was my top choice for sure, would sending a letter of interest into them help? Stating they are my top school and I would take their offer if given?

Any one here accepted from the waitlist on here?

IF you are on the waitlist, I think you have a high chance of getting in, according to what they told me in Nov. She said they used more than half of waitlisted people last year. GOOD LUCK!!!

I didn't know that the waitlist moved fast for Michigan. I thought you had a very slim chance of getting in when waitlisted.

I have been waiting for awhile now and emailed Tracy every two weeks since February but she said there's no movement yet. I wonder how this year is gonna turn out. Are they gonna accept many people on the waitlist? Is anyone else give up their spot because I am dying to get in there? Thanks

well I like the town and the people there. Also UM is ranked of the best dental schools in the nation and I haven't got accepted anywhere yet so feel like it is my last chance for this cycle.

There are no formal rankings of dental school in the last 15 years. Although I would have to say Michigan is probably one of the best.... ha

I emailed Pattie the other day and she said there hasn't been movement in the past few weeks. Also she said that they wouldn't start accepting people from the waitlist until around May or June when people begin dropping out. She also said that they have a large waitlist. 🙁
