Who has gotten an interview at UofM and how are you guys preparing for this?? Anyone going on Oct 17th too? Well overall, this is my first interview and I just want suggestions or advice on what I can do before this interview. Where can I stay? etc. Any help would be nice. Thanks :]

There's a Motel 6 is Ann Arbor that is $46 a night, and is really new and clean. I stayed there for my interview. There is also a Holiday Inn Express and a Comfort Inn in that same area, if you feel that you're too good for motels lol. Both are a few miles from the Dental building, though I didn't see any that were closer.

Do read the interview feedback on this site (hint, hint). Let's just say you will be glad you did when you hit those ethical topics at the interview.

For places to stay:

There are a few hotels within walking distance to the dental building on campus but are pretty pricey. The chain hotels/motels a couple miles south of the school near the Briarwood mall were the cheapest when I looked/went last year.

i'm staying at the ann arbor bed and breakfast - from google maps it's like ten steps away from their dental school! check it out if it fits your budget i think it'll be great because you can really get a feel for the campus the night before your interview.

but yeah, how're you guys prepping? this MMI sounds like tricky business, i'm getting the feeling that michigan will ask questions geared towards national healthcare issues, ethical issues, etc. if anyone could give some input that'd be great! i know i saw a tread 1-2 weeks ago about michigan but i couldn't find it; tried the search function too but could only find out so much. thanks!!

UMich is a very nice school, and the faculty were one of the nicest I've met, especially at the MMIs... good luck!
