I just got an interview invite from michigan today by email while I was registering for sdn. I guess sdn is a good thing.

goodluck with the interviews guys...
before i came to my michigan interview I had NO intention on coming here...but after I had my MMI session...and considering that it was the coolest interview I had ever been to...

Fly into DTW (Detroit Metro Airport). If you're not renting a car, you may be able to get a shuttle (shared cab ride) to AA from there for around $20.

I think the junior varsity team at my high school could have beat Notre Dame. It would have taken my varsity team to beat Michigan.

Michigan told me on the phone that they only offer a couple of dates per month and they're won't be more interviews until early November...

the michigan interview is amaizing...its really relaxed and very unorthodox!
and for all of you out of staters...in my opinion its worth coming to michigan... if i could go back...id still pay out of state tuition! 😀

Got an interview invite to Michigan today! Also mentioned in the e-mail about this being a "pilot" interview for a new method of interviewing. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks!
yeah i got taht too. not sure what it means, or if i like the sound of being a test subject. i do however like the sound of university of michigan school of dentistry.

Did you call the admissions office and that's what they told you over the phone? I am waiting on an interview from Michigan as well. It's probably my first choice. I sent my essay in on July 26th...do you think the first batch of interviews has already been made and we all have to wait until November at the earliest?

That is what they told me on the phone...she had told me I should hear something by Nov 2nd because that's the next round.....and I was under the assumption that I didn't make the first round because of the lateness of my secondary....but apparently other applicants have recently gotten interviews...so i'm just as lost as you are at this point....

It's a Saturday but I just got an invite for this coming Friday. They're trying something new this time with two sessions. Watch your phones - it won't be an official number, it's someone's cell phone.

Michigan is probably my top choice, I turned in my supplemental in mid-July and applied JUne 1st.
My stats:
Overall GPA: 3.8
Science GPA 3.7
DAT AA: 19
DAT PAT: 18
DAT TS: 18
I feel like I applied early enough, but the lack of communication is frustrating. I'm debating whether to call or not at this point. I'm thinking any news is better than no news.

The way it happened for me is that I got a voicemail from Ms. Katcher on Saturday afternoon, but, unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a hold of her on her cell phone when I called back. So I called the office on Monday and scheduled for the Nov. 2 interview.
It might not be a bad idea to just call and ask about the status of your application, though. Like you, I was getting restless so I called last week and they said I would hear back within a week. I know how you feel not wanting to bother Admissions with how busy this time of year is, but they did not seem to mind at all when I called.

Could any of you who interviewed at Michigan give me a heads up on what to expect or what I need to do to prepare for the interview?
just got an interview invite on friday, right after I finished my Columbia interview. They invited for nov 2nd, but I am busy that week. Does anyone know if they allow you to reschedule? I was going to call today, but was in class all day. I would hate to lose a chance to interview at michigan.
