Hi,

I know that U of MI is a great PMR program, but does anyone know about MI State? William Beaumount? Wayne State?

Thanks everyone.

MSU- Closing or moving to a diff hospital, have heard both.

Wayne State/RIM: Average, decent exposure.

Beaumont: Prob 2nd best program in MI. Good inpt exposure. Great outpatient/procedures. Great hours.

Beaumont sent me an email asking when I was taking Step 2. They then informed me that they don't invite anyone for interviews until they have their Step 2 scores. That's bizarre, because I already have 4 interviews from other places, and I'm taking Step 2 within the usual MS4 timeframe. Anyone know more about this?

Is it true that Dr. Andary is no longer the PD?

Doing a rotation with a PGY 3 PM&R from Michigan State right now. Says he loves his program, and that the "moving" rumor pertains to the program moving its main site from one Lansing area hospital to another Lansing area hospital. He denies significant upheaval, and laughs in the face of anyone who says otherwise.

I know I haven't been on the forums in a while, but I had no idea my identity could be mimicked :O)

I was under the impression that he's still there (my attending mentioned on Monday that no one could get Dr. Andary to move from Lansing), but I'll ask the resident on Monday when he gets back. That way I can give you actual and factual information. 🙂

I PM'd you. Rumors are flying around wildly about the program. I am very curious...

I called the program directly, and they report that, while they are changing hospitals, Dr. A will remain PD.

They also suggested that if you have any questions, to email HIM at [email protected]

Far worse things come from my mouth. I think I need the soap more...
