Hi guys. I've having hell of a time deciding on which school to choose. I am currently a graduate from UB undergrad and I have gotten into Michigan and Buffalo. I've heard that Michigan is a stronger name than Buffalo, I'm not sure if that is true or not. Money isn't really an issue for me--well, it is a little--but with that aside, which school would you choose? Also, is the curriculum in Michigan really hard?

I have heard that Michigan has some strong post-doc programs, but I don't think it is as well regarded for pre-doc as Buffalo.

hey yo,
im ub undergrad also! i also chose between the two schools and decided to go to UB..
reason - no transfer to instate residence to mich, so money is out the roof..
- weather is very similar... maybe a little warmer in mich, but i like to snowboard so no complaints here
- both schools are very well respected
- mich is really big in research which i couldnt care less about
- post-doc progs are available a both.. more respected at mich, but you wouldnt have a problem getting anywhere youd want to

let me know if you have any other questions!

A stronger name? I've never heard of such a crazy allegation. Even if you have your heart set on specializing, an awesome board score and academic performance in any dental program is the most important. Save your money and get an awesome academic as well as clinical education at UB. You're going to graduate a general dentist after 4 years anyways...doesn't matter where you go.
