Any advice on how to study for Micro and Immuno....books, questions etc.?

Thanks

Micro Made Ridiculously Simple. I went from completely sucking at micro to feeling pretty confident with those questions.

doing questions is HUGE for micro. i was such a micro-newbie in the beginning. now it's an easy topic becuase ive done a crapload of questions and they always focus on certain key bugs. i read MMRS as well and i thought it was ok to start with. kaplan qbank really grinded the micro into my head. usmleworld micro questions don't seem as difficult. that could also be because i did kaplan before it so the usmleworld micro questions seemed easy. another key thing about micro is to not forget about it while you're studying other topics. always do a little micro review everyday to keep it fresh. it's an easy topic to memorize in three days and forget in one day.

oh yea, goljan is pretty badass when it comes to micro because when you're reviewing the organ systems in his RR path book (or even listening to his lectures) there is always a section dedicated to infections and there are nice charts that summarize all the relevant bugs. that really helped me see micro from different perspectives.

The 50 cases at the end of the Lange micro book are excellent, too.

Has anyone listened to the Micro kaplan videos? I got a hold of the older version....with Don Dunn. I heard he is pretty good but I dont want to spend the time on it if its not worth it.

sorry...not the old kaplan videos....the old kaplan micro book....and i have access to the kaplan videos
