could u please explain the graft question😕

i think in graft versus host rxns th immune system plays major role in deciding whether to accept a graft or not ,so i picked this choice .

I just want to add that in graft versus host reactions the graft tissue is the one rejecting (not the host) so there has to be viable lymphoid tissue in it, hope that helps.

could u please explain the graft question😕

Unless you graft tissue or say bone marrow from identical twins, where tissue transplanted is identical, most grated tissue is similar but not identical to the tissue of person getting it. As a result, there is always a risk in transplants that the viable T cells/lymphocytes in donors tissue, may see the new tissue it found it's self in, as foreign and attack it. So the person getting the transplant could die. This is particularly dangerous in people getting bone marrow transplant, b/c their immune system is down (as their bone marrow was killed in preparation for this new donated marrow), and such an attack from the donated tissue could kill them.

So when it comes to grafting you don't just worry about the recipient rejecting the new tissue, but the tissue attacking you.
Hope this helps.
