Microbiology---Requirement for Dental Schools

Some schools require Microbiology as a prerequisite. Can this course be taken at a community college (2-year) or does it have to be taken at a 4-year institution?

Some schools require Microbiology as a prerequisite. Can this course be taken at a community college (2-year) or does it have to be taken at a 4-year institution?

Depends on the dental school. Some have no limitations on community college classes as prerequisites; others don't accept any community college classes for prerequisites. You'll have to look on the school's website or ADEA dental school explorer to find out how much of an issue it's going to be. I took Micro at a community college, and it doesn't seem like it's going to be an issue at the schools I'm applying.

Science prerequisites generally look much better at 4-year institutions.
