microscope questions

i'm reviewing the big kaplan blue book and it has about a page on the microscope - parts and types. Do you recommend memorizing this too? have any of you actually had microscope questions on your test?

I was wondering the same thing. I decided to just learn about light microscopes and electron microscopes. It might not hurt to know what the parts of the LM actually does.

Let's see what someone else has to say about this subject.

haven't taken the DAT yet, but I think a general knowledge about light and electron scopes is probably a good idea....stuff like what is the resolving power of each....can you look at living specimens under and SEM (not really).

To those what have taken the DAT: Were there 'microscope' questions?

No microscope questions on mine. But by the time you guys take the test, who knows? Better safe than sorry... and microscopes make sense, anyway 🙂
