Q which of the following charaterizes the cytoplasmic extention of an odontoblast ?
1 microtubules & occasional mitochondria & vessicles
2 microtubules & numerous lysosme
3 large no. of mitochondria
4 myacine filament
with explanation pl

q adipose tiss found in submucosa of the palate in the --
1 rughe
2 incesive papilla
3 midline at the level of molar
4 lateral area at the level of premolar
5 lateral area at the level of molar

why not large no. of mitochondria as odontoblast is highly active
Odontoblast is highly active during early stages of dentinogenesis, in very young pulp. At this time, there are rER, Golgi etc as well. But answer A is more appropriate.

The next question: Ans: lateral around premolar region might be the answer. Not sure though. Tricky question.

hi!
the answer to choice 1,as cytoplasmic extensions of odontoblast are lined by microfilaments and micro tubules, also present are golgi apparatus, rer, mitochondria, secretory vesicles.

1 rughe
2 incesive papilla

answer to this q is for sure choice 1 coz, the adipose[fat] tissue is present in anterolateral regions of palatal submucosa and palatal glands are present in the posterolateralregions of the palate, regarding the regions in the oral cavity which lack submucosa are midline raphae of palate, gingiva, dorsal and ventral of tongue.

You are right, it should be rugae. Thanks.
