Well, I have done Alevels and doing medicine now. What subjects have you taken? Well yes medicine in india is good and reputable. You will find certain medschools which are internationally recognized like manipal. (i dont know the spellig, have heard about it) Few of my mates from Oman went to India to do medicine.
I live in the middleast, it does not honestly have many school but that i know are the cornell campus in doha...if im not wrong. West Virginia Campus in Oman, Bahrain medical College, Gulf Medical college etc. or my uni 😀 Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. American uni of sharjah or Dubai do not have medschools.
Your best bet would be India or even some other place like Malaysia. Monash Campus in malaysia is excellent for medicine.
Work hard for ur A2s. Good luck !

There are 5 Medical Universities in UAE. Dubai Medical College is only for girls , there is Gulf Medical College in Ajman , University of Sharjah Faculty of Medicine was inagurated 3 years ago. There is Medical Health Sciences University in Ras Al Khaima started 2 years ago , there is however Universal EMpire Institute for Medical Sciences located in Knowledge Village they offer the preclinical studies here in the UAE for the first 2 years then they send their students to India for clinical studies and you get an Indian Degree ...

I am currently studying in Dubai Medical College am 1 year short of finishing my undergraduate studies .

India is very reputable in Medical Education , but there are other colleges of Medicine in the Middle East which are equally or more reputable, the American University of Beirut offers an amazing program , in Cairo there are about 5 universities offering programs . I think you should do a heavy search tehn narrow it down to a couple of options visit the place then make your choice. ..

Meanwhile I suggest you put your 100% in your A Levels ..
Best of luck

Thanks Aliasmmj, i wasnt sure of all medschools but wanted to help the guy some how. There you go abroad, you have the list of almost all medschools. Research on these campuses and then decide on ur choice. I chose the same subjects in Alevels but the requirement is only 3. If you are very confident of the 4th then carry it on. I did take math and the optional units as Stat 1 and 2. Which actually helped me in Med statistics 1 and 2.
Your strongest grade should be in Chemistry, most schools not all (not sure on that) do look specifically for Chemistry and biology. Do make sure you make up a good personal statement and get work experience for a short time. I know here in the middleast, the latter is not needed but its worth it because you are following the british system and thats how british unis go.

u could also apply to Egyptian medical schools..
to get into Cairo or Ain Shams, u need really good grades in ur A-levels..
Private universities such as University of 6 october or M.U.S.T. are easier to get into.. but they are less reputable than other egyptian universities..
u'll find a lot of Iraqis here in Egypt..u'll feel just like home..

i dunno if Israel is one of ur options.. but they have really good medical schools (Sackler, BGU and Technion).. Sackler and Technion offer American programs too.. not sure about BGU..

but again...it depends on where do u want 2 practice medicine later.. just visiting Israel will get u banned from almost all GCC countries and some other arab countries too..

Yalla habibi 😛 Enta btehki ghalat. Oh wait.. you know that already 😛 Israeli med schools have good standing though in GCC countries. Keep in mind that the medical directors for each program and alot of the doctors in GCC countries are Indians, Pakistanis, etc. They aren't particularly prejudiced against Israeli med schools or Israelis.

this has nothing to do with program directors 7abeebty🙂
just try an israeli visa stamp on ur ARABIAN passport and see what happens😉
Yes..doctors are indians and pakis.. but this has nothing to do with country policies..

P.S. i said most countries.. to be more specific...exclude Qatar.. Tzipi Livny has been officially invited 2 visit Qatar next week for the UN conference..
