Midwestern IL Interview Anyone?

Just curious if anyone has heard from Midwestern IL for an interview yet? I'm interested in that school a lot and am wondering if any invites have went out.. Thanks!
 
I haven't gotten interview from them yet, but why are you very interested in that school?
 
Just a personal preference and from what I've heard about the school thus far.

Was wondering tho... wat do you think about the state of the school's accreditation.
It is my understanding that they don't have full accreditation yet?
 
Is that true? I didn't look into their accreditation at all, just their programs and things of that sort. How does that impact the students entering into the class? Wow, I'm glad you brought that to my attention... I'd appreciate it if somebody could clarify on this topic for us.
And hopefully we both end up at Midwestern IL! Would be pretty cool to be a few miles from Chicago!

I've read things on here that stated the only reason it isn't fully accredited yet is because they haven't had a full class graduate yet (starting as 1st years and go through 4 years and graduate), but its not a problem. When you graduate you will be a full dentist. I'm still curious about the specifics though or confirmation, because I'm just relaying what I have seen on here before

I need help finding information about their program....their website doesnt give much details about their mission or values and need that to help me answer their supp app essay questions, otherwise what would I write about? can someone point me in the right direction? My only reasons would be like location, private institution but theres no way i would talk about those superficial reasons. lol

As far as the CODA is concerned, they're an accredited institution. The last step of the process is the successful graduation of their first class which would have nothing to do with you. It will happen to the class of 2015.
 
I applied to Midwestern early in the cycle... no letters of rejection yet so I'm assuming they are still processing everyone's application. 😀
 
I hope so. I know Midwestern AZ already started sending out interview invites, so I thought maybe Midwestern IL was the same way... But I haven't heard of anyone receiving an interview from them just yet. Unless they're hiding 🙂

Guys wait till September. For the past 2 years they have started sending them that month.

Don't sweat if you haven't gotten yours, they have interviews till March.

Is anyone else wondering how the school can expect their students to come up with tuition without loans or lines of credit?
 
This school doesn't offer loans to their students? And I'm sure they have some way of getting their students the necessary tuition money, because I'm sure not all of their students can just afford to pay for it out of pocket. Where did you find that information out, and do you know of any other schools like that? Thanks for the heads up...

you need to take private loans out. LECOM has that issue as well.

MWU-IL offers federal loans.

LECOM had an issue last year with providing federal loans to the first-years and so those students had to take out private loans, but this year is different.
 
lol. At my interview, one of the eight interviewers asked me what I knew about their program - among the many things I said "I know you're not accredited yet," and she shot back with "We are accredited. We are as accredited as we can be. Full accreditation comes after the graduation of our first class." ha

Anyway, that's where I'm going. Hope to see you guys there!
 
You had 8 people interviewing you at the same time?
 
Hahahahaha so you get 10 minutes or so with each person I'm assuming... I actually like that better than one to one. At least this way, it's not you and your luck with whoever you land with that's interviewing you. All 8 people can't hate you if you're a good applicant 😉

MWU IL is one of my top choices..

I'm a california resident...my stats are
3.6 sGPA, 3.2oGPA
DAT 19AA/19TS/23PAT

I do have lots of experience in dentistry and volunteering experience.
How do you size me up for MWU-IL?

No..I don't believe they started handing them out yet, MWU-AZ is well on its way though. GL
 
I got interview invite from midwestern IL via email today around noon.
 
Hi. Is anyone of you that got an interview from a State other than Illinois or Indiana?
