It's hard to believe that he's really in based on what he did to mwu here.. he's maybe just pretending like he's in to just give mwu a bad look and to sneer at what we all doing here right now.., otherwise he's amazingly brazen-faced..

No one cares about his color-they just mentioned it b/c it helps narrow down who the girl/guy is.

Popular forums such as SDN and other websites play a role in students’ view of school. Before we all buy a LCD TV or a car we all look up customer reviews and read what others thought about it. Looking up dental school reviews is no different.

This person is giving a false representation of the school and giving prospective students a false view of the school.

Some students may pass up his post as being idiotic, but some may take it into consideration when deciding which school to apply to for next year. For reference, I am certain this thread had some microscopic impact on USC for students applying next year:

You know that's not what i meant. It's unfortunate that there are people saying its the reason they are picking on him, when that is not the case at all. It's b/c they don't want someone with his character, or lack of even, in their class.

Thanks for attempting to twist my words though. I think most of the SDNers here know my character in the threads and know its not what I meant.

I do agree that he did give Midwestern a bad reputation it didn't deserve, I guess what is done is done.
 
Maybe he did not even get the call and has not been accepted. He probably posted this just to get to all of us!

really interesting discussion going on at SDN lately, i "do" think falculty read discussions here since after the thread "Midwestern racist?", the African male got accepted 2 days later, maybe it is just a coincidence i don't know.

Apparently now he is going back and deleting all of his posts on SDN by replacing them with "."

He would not go to that extent if he was not accepted.

It is funny. Little does he know you can never truly erase your trail on the internet. With a little digging you can still see what he said when other people quoted him. I loved my trip to Midwestern and think it is a wonderful school and would be so fortunate to have an acceptance there. Hopefully he will use this opportunity that has been granted to him to change for the better.

hmmm waitlisted... i don't think ur a dental student yet..ur spot isnt really secure until u send the 2nd deposit. (it was like that for my school. )

yeah funny thing is.. noone really 'quoted' him on the last two topics sdn was talkin about...

i agree... if you think about it it might have been an 'immature' move on him.. but i would be pissed as hell if someone was bashing my school like that and made a good school look bad. esp. if they have not experienced the quality of education at the school. so i agree with jason to some extent but i dont' know if anything will happen to waitlisted.

he probably wouldn't have great relations with the professors etc. and would probably have to kiss some ass in order to survive the 'ugly duckling syndrome' (if u know what i mean...)+pity+during dental school.

hm... i wonder if he'll make a new sn and post during school and bitch about how much he hates going there. title "think twice before applying/coming to midwestern"... i wouldn't be surprised.:laugh:

I am proud of joining NAVY. It wasn't out of financial needs but serving those who protect the best country in the world is an honor to me. now go ahead and talk smack about the military and all the other things, it will never change my mind. I will stay in NAVY and I will retire from NAVY. maybe if some of you guys had lived outside USA, you would understand how lucky we are to be here.
as for waitlisted2009 who mentioned Midwestern accepts low stats people because of military, I'm a prime example of how that is not true. I have a DAT of around 20 or 21, not that great of a GPA and has been waitlisted at MWU. It's my second time applying to MWU and know that this school will rock the world of dentistry once their graduates start practicing. look at their curriculum.

as for presentation by Dr.Simonsen, I liked it not because he is the dean but because the presentation had substance to it.

either way, enough hating on this school. Grow Up! and maybe,at least maybe ,learn to be a mature individual whose patients can trust their health with.

I disagree, I bet he will love it there. I know I would. Midwestern's faculty was amazing, students were so helpful and the facilities are insanely nice. MWU will be really strong after students graduate and others realize the caliber of the students they produce.
 
i'm pretty sure mwu is awesome! never had a chance to visit but all dental schools r awesome. and esp. its a new school so yes, the facility MUST be amazing!! i just hope he doesn't put a negative vibe to future mwu applicants- thats all😍

i don't care if he really gets in trouble or not or if he gets recinded or not; but i want the admissions committee and dr. simonsen to see a bit of his character and his opinion of the school. if he ends up coming here, he will do so while walking on egg shells for a bit until he shows that he deserves to be there. there are a lot of very qualified students on the waitlist and some that rejected too. you have to check yourself in dental school. stop and realize that you've been handed the keys to the kingdom so to speak...you've been afforded the opportunity of a lifetime and you get to do what you want to do (dentistry) for the rest of your life so be thankful and humble and not so impressed with yourself.

Waitlisted is getting quite the welcoming? at MWU,even before school is starting.

MWU is very big on ethics and character. It is obvious the character portrayed on these forums by Waitlisted does not match with what MWU strives for in its students. I hope you will learn and shape up before school begins, or you'll have one heck of a time with our faculty and your classmates.

However, what is done is done, and erasing everything on previous posts doesn't really do much, since there are many copies of it, especially with what OracleDMD will present to the Dean himself.

Just know that you have put yourself in a tough boat, in which you put yourself there.

Already this news is spreading through Facebook to our current class at MWU, (c/o of 2012), (and not to mention a lot of your own to-be classmates of class of 2013 reading this probably took note as well) and it will probably be the talk of discussion on Monday in sim lab amongst my classmates, and will one way or another find out who waitlisted is by Monday.

hey oracle! I have a very hard time believing waitlisted, maybe he isnot accepted at all. I don't see how the adcom didn't see through this guy and offered him admission. maybe he is just saying he has been admitted to mess with people here.

wow, ORACLE, please don't be harsh on him since i think he is just having his idiotic moments on SDN. I think you should straight him up. I feel really offensive by some of his posts in the past but i think he is just going through tough time during the application cycle. I did, some people cry (like me), some people say and do stupid things (vent on SDN) but i do not think they deserve "special treatment" by their classmates when they are in dental school.

Oracle isn't trying to threaten waitlisted's accomplishment in Dental school. Waitlisted will be a dental student at MWU regardless.

Oracle is just informing the dean the person they just accepted basically trashed MWU by calling it the "2nd worst dental school in the country" and saying bad things about the Dean's son, especially a son that the Dean is very proud of. It is a fact that Waitlisted's actions put a huge negative light to MWU for potential applicants.

Just because it is an internet forum, doesn't mean you can just say whatever you like, especially a forum that many adcoms do look at it. This is a lesson for all that think before you say anything here.

It is obvious that even Waitlisted feels guilty of his actions, since he deleted all his past posts and left a "" instead. He wouldn't have done that if he stood for what he said or believed that he said nothing wrong.

internet forum huh? i don't care what it is, your character is who you are when you think you won't get caught. if you end up getting caught slamming schools, students, and deans....you get what you deserve. i think i can safely say that all or at least the overwhelming majority of my classmates don't want someone coming here who has disrespected ourselves, our dean, and our school. his attitude and character can jeopardize our programs integrity and the quality of our students of which i am very proud. i have met several of our future classmates and waitlisters that are genuinely good people with the right attitude for our school. how can i not be offended and take action when there are so many people that deserve that spot and exemplify the kind of dental culture that we foster here? character is EVERYTHING! say what you want and do what you will at YOUR school....but here at Midwestern we will stick to our guns when it comes down to this issue. our dean is not just a figure head, mentor, and colleague....he's also our friend and he's always there for us to listen to our concerns. he probly won't get kicked out...but i garuntee he will have a conversation with the dean at some point and i really think he needs it. what's sad is that all dental schools don't care as much about it as we do. but there are plenty that do. so be prepared to stand up for what you post here or be prepared to answer for it later.

I am starting to get worried for next years class of 2013 at MWU.
Not only do we have Waitlisted, but apparently we also have Hersheyslove who apparently is asking if sleeping with classmates is ok (http://http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=624086) as well as thinks MWU is racist.

No, these 2 people give me a good start NOT to apply to Midwestern since the faculty there seem CLUELESS in judging people's character. So i think the faculty should do something different this year to test if their future dental students are idiots or not.

And that is exactly why OracleDMD should speak with the Dean regarding these 2 on Monday,so it doesn't happen again next year. They are totally bringing a negative light to MWU, as well as bringing a negative light to next years class as a whole. I am sure as OracleDMD said there are great people in the Class of 2013 besides these two. I just hope there arn't anymore.

What I love about MWU is the people, the faculty, and our classmates.Thats why I love it here, is that my classmates are great people of character. Nowhere near do we have any people like these two in my class.

I think that Oracle absolutely did the right thing. I think that this guy behaved in a way that doesnt meet the standards that MWU has set for itself. I think it says something that current students DO care enough to bring this to the deans attention.

If they weren't high quality students they wouldn't care.

I dont think this will cost him his acceptance, but its doing him a favor to give him hell for acting like a dick. He and the school will be all the better for it.
