Biomedical Science - 2 years with thesis

http://www.midwestern.edu/course-cat...urriculum.html

Biotechnology - 1 year without thesis

http://www.rushu.rush.edu/servlet/Sa...entBlockDetail

As a way to start a career, which degree looks more promising to you?

The career opportunity listed under school websites is very similar at both schools. I have a hard time differentiating between the two programs except for the thesis part. How important is having a thesis? Rush has the obvious benefit of completing the degree in just 1 yr, therefore cheaper, but does this benefit outweigh the experience of writing a thesis?
