18. there is a bit of down time, but its not horrible. 2 groups of 9. 1 group goes on a tour, the other stand by to be interviewed. about 30min per interview, so with 3 different interviews you can expect about an hour of down time while the others are interviewing.
Also, while you are waiting, they have multiple students in the office with you that seemed to be more than happy to answer whatever questions you might have about the school, along with giving you advice....you really dont sit there in silence!
That question was asked to me during the interview, which consists of you, a faculty member or dean, and another student. Unless they changed their methods in the past two months, all interview questions are directed to you personally during the private interview. I was never put on the spot in front of other applicants
Yes, and I have been asked it at other interviews. I was just wondering what situation it was asked in since I thought someone had said it was not in the interview and I was surprised.

they probly said that because different interviewers use different questions. for the most part, each interviewer tends to ask the same line of questions more or less, but they'll switch it up once in awhile. each interviewer has different questions that stand out to them more as being important for considering the applicant, but i havent heard any of them ask any strange, difficult or unfair questions. they are all entirely straight forward.
