I apologize if this isn't the most educated question, but this is all new to me and of course not trying to ruin any step of this monstrous process.

For secondaries/payments to schools that require envelopes being mailed, is it necessary to type up the envelopes & the secondaries? In my mind I feel that it's just an admin staff that will be handling the opening of envelopes apart from those actually critiquing us, but my mom seems to think it's important..

Is your mom going to dress you for the interview too? I'm kidding.

Envelope typing is pretty easy and might be worth it just to avoid the tiny, tiny risk that it gets misplaced or misdirected. But I'm going to venture to say that it has zero effect on invites. Ideally, you would want to type secondary items if you can. That stuff will actually be read by people who might care. It's just good presentation and a little nicer to read on their end than sketchy penmanship (mine anyway). If it's too much trouble, then write it. If it's a PDF and you need Acrobat or something, see if friends, family or campus computers have it before option for ink.

Lol I was expecting a comment like that. Okay, fine. Acrobat Professional is what I would need, yes?

I wrote mine up by hand. I don't think it has any impact on invites or your chances. And I believe many other pre-dents are getting advice from their parents as well- myself included 🙂.

unless your handwriting is terrible I don't think it will matter.

Hey really good penmanship might be a qualification of manual dexterity. 😀

Just focus on your GPA and DAT. If those are good, you usually have a decent shot.
