Post-Bacc I guess. There's no official program, I have no advisor, and I'm just taking what I want.

Who can say? FP and EM are what interest me due to breadth. If I ever get there something else could tickle my fancy.
Work hours vary as a part-timer. This pay period I'll put in 72 hours - 8 shy of full-time.
No volunteering as of yet. I just moved. I was a vollie fireman for about eight years prior to... ECs...working, lol. I used to work part-time as a medic, and I may pick up some basic EMT shifts at the local ambulance service this fall and spring. I don't have time right now.

Specialty You Want to go into: Hard to say, I would really like to return to aerospace medicine which is a fellowship so I have to do a normal residency first. I really love neurology, like EM, and am currently shadowing primary care (family)

Work Hrs/week: 20 hr/week right now, at one point I was doing 80 hours a week on average.

Current Age: I'm 25.

Current phase: [Taking Pre-reqs, Completing B.S., Post-Bacc, etc] I'm a junior getting a BS. I switched majors so I'm taking a fifth year but, my senior year (5th year) is a clinical year (CLS major).

When will you apply: 2012. If it weren't for the change in major, I'd apply in 2011. Although, I feel like I'd be better prepared in 2012 so it's sort of a win-win for me 🙂

Specialty You Want to go into: I really don't have a clue. There are some that I feel are really interesting because I've shadowed them, but other than that, no idea.

Work Hrs/week: 60+. The holidays are more. I'm hoping this will be my last year, though... of course I said that when I first went back to school 😉 I don't particularly want to work that many hours, but it pays the bills and I think I've learned a lot from it, so I can't complain.

Volunteer or ECs Hrs/week: Volunteer only 4 hours a week. I do volunteer for another organization, but I get to pick the hours and they are kind of random. Probably 15-20 hours a month. I'd love to do more though; I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee volunteering for that specific group, but my work schedule isn't "have a life outside of work-friendly" sometimes. My shadowing hours are very random.

That's right. I'm applying this year despite knowing they will most likely say no. If they tell me "no", I will try again after I graduate.

Current phase: [Taking Pre-reqs, Completing B.S., Post-Bacc, etc] Decided to slow down a bit in my official Post-Bac program, I'm on the two year plan. Done with Bio 1, lab, Bio 2, lab, and Chem lab (need to retake the lecture because I dropped the summer since it was to intense for me to pull a good grade). Phys 1 and lab in the Fall, Phys 2 and lab and Chem lec in Spring...then a year of Orgo since inorganic is a pre-req for those.

When will you apply: probably for Fall 2013 the latest...I will be 31.

Current phase: Does lurking on SDN count as a "phase"? Actually, I'm finishing up my Ph.D in child clinical psychology (currently a 4th year, but have 2 more years including clinical internship) and probably won't be able to start prereqs until 2012

When will you apply: 2014/2015?!? Who knows...

Specialty You Want to go into: I think Peds or Ob/Gyn, but I probably won't know for sure until I get some more experience.

Work Hrs/week: Depends on my class schedule, but typically 20 hours clinical work, 10-15 hours research work, 10-15 hours teaching, and then the rest of the week is devoted to class and studying for class 🙂

Volunteer or ECs Hrs/week: 6 hours a week working at a local hospital as part of a multidisciplinary team, however, my role is primarily as a clinical therapist and not directly linked to a medical position.
