Has anyone heard of any cases where a person was accepted to dental school, slacked off in their last year/semester of school and had their acceptance revoked? I know some med schools require you to maintain a minimum GPA to retain your acceptance so I'm wondering if dental school is similar?

Imagine if someone had a 2.0 GPA and got a 100% on the DAT? That would be sooo crazy! I would be honored to interview that person, wonder what kind of story they have lol.

No grade below a C in any class for the spring semester is what UTHSC and UofL said.

Keep everything above a C to be "safe".

If you had an overall GPA around 2.5-2.7, but did well on the DAT's, did many hours of shadowing, went on a dental missionary trip, had good recommendations and a good personal statement, would dental schools even look at your application? What would be the chances of getting into dental school and which schools could consider you?

Short answer: No, GPA too low.

I currently have a 2.75 gpa and a 19 DAT and i was wondering what my chances are for getting into dental school. Is it even possible to get into dental school?

You would need to research on schools that explicitly say the cutoffs for the minimum GPA. Otherwise, you always have "chances".
