There are a bunch of minors I'm looking at in my last year in college, and half the courses seem rigorous for each one, not related to science though.

I have the option of either taking courses to add a minor or just take gpa boosting courses to boost overall gpa. I finished my major and I feel like taking a minor will show I have an interest in another subject whereas gpa boosting courses will show no concrete field of study and I'm just taking less rigorous classes but I do find some of these courses interesting.

I keep thinking that a minor will look better even if I don't get into dentistry school, but will it matter in the end, the minor?

Granted it has been awhile since I applied to dental school, but it has always been my opinion that board scores and gpa opened the doors of admission (not counting affirmative action). If you do the math, assuming you are or will be a senior undergrad, the difference between an A or B in a class will not influence your cumulative gpa by more than 0.1 So you might as well take what you feel best serves you rather than trying to boost your cum at this time.

Go with the gpa booster. Just keep the main thing on ur mind: numbers matter the most. And, kobe is awesome.

A minor doesn't really mean anything. Just do whatever you can to maximize your GPA.

boost the gpa. numbers count in the first cut.
