The way my schedule is working out right now, I can fit some undergraduate research in this Spring and I have already been accepted to the program in the past. If I do this, I will have to give up my minor. This is because I am a little behind in 3000+ level courses. My minor is health and it's pretty boring anyways. Which is more valuable on an application to a dental school..Undergraduate research or a minor in health?

nobody cares about a minor

Why can't you do both?

I'm a double major and I still have time to do research.

Thank you for the advice. If I planned this out my freshman yr. I could have done both. But I didn't. I have to sacrifice one or the other. I'm agreeing with you all, minors aren't that big of a deal.

research!!!!!!! you can also look in to getting published if you have an independent research project. 🙂

Research FOR SURE! No one will look at a minor. As eternalxdemon mentioned, you can get published which will give you an edge for certain schools.

Research brings $ to schools... it's definitely more important than a minor.

I agree research is much better. I received a minor in general management and I don't think it helped me in any manner shape or form other than to pad my GPA a bit.
