  1. Pre-Medical
Edit: NEVERMIND ! Verified w/ someone already!

I'm not too fond of optics. So I have gone to EK for the bare minimum. Ignore mnemonics, really for my own notes...

1. I (Eye) am positive that real is inverted.
Images and focal points on the side of the observer are "positive, real & inverted."
Images and focal points on the other side are "negative, virtual & upright"

So do they just want me to understand that "+/real/inverted" and "-/virtual/upright" come in those "pre-mixed packages"?

ENVY: -/virtual/upright . (I don't know why, but it just reminds me of an envious person who is negative, virtual (fake) and people walk upright..😛)
Presidents Require Ideas: +/real/inverted"

2. Objects are always positive when they are in front of a lens or a mirror & always negative when they are behind a lens or a mirror.

I don't really see how this is different from rule 1. Sounds the same to me. If object is in front of anything it's positive and if it's behind something its negative. ok....

3.) Convex mirrors & concave lenses (diverging) : virtual/upright and negative (ENVY)
Concave mirrors & convex lenses (converging) : positive/ real and inverted (PRI)
Unless those concave mirrors come too close for comfort (i.e. object is within focal point), at which point they start producing ENVY

Is that all?

P.s. if you have better mnemonics, I (clearly) would appreciate them.
