Thank you in advance for your guidance.

I recently sent a letter of interest to my wait-listed school. If I were taken from the alternate list, educational costs will be the deciding factor. I love both programs.

However, I am leaning towards my current A.

My question: The school followed-up my email with a "Thank you for your letter of INTENT." I'm not entirely sure I would commit if accepted if the cost was significantly more and the contents of the letter did not suggest I would commit. Should I reach out to this school and clarify that they misread the subject line saying specifically and clearly letter of interest? Or, is it possible they recycled a general email to all individuals that sent letters from the alternate-list?

I may be overthinking it, but I understand the importance of following-though with letter of intents.
You ARE overthinking this.

Admissions Deans know that LOIs are lies, anyway.
