I missed my mock interview with the pre-dental committee at my university. I scheduled a make-up, but then missed that one due to a death in the family. As a result, my LOR from the pre-dental advisor says nothing except that I am a student in good standing. I was also unable to submit my application to AADSAS until July 29 also due to the family emergency.

However, I sent in 4 good LOR, 3.52 GPA, 3.44 in-major, 18/18/16 DAT, and I only applied to VCU.

So... am I screwed?

Why did you only apply to VCU? It is a good school, but unless you have an inside connection, I would have applied to more schools. Hopefully you are an in-state applicant, as your chances are significantly better as such. I think you are taking a chance by not applying to mre schools, but if VCU is the only place you want to go, best of luck. As for missing your mock interview, it makes it harder for the pre-dent committee to write meaningful things about you. I dont think it is detrimental to your application though.

Yes, pretty much. Based on location (closer to home) and in-state tuition. I also figured my stats aren't that great, so the best thing to do would just take a chance with my first choice. Thanks for your input. 🙂

That's pretty sketchy. You should most definately apply to more schools. You can bypass AADSAS and ask the schools if you can send them your materials directly until they are added to your AADSAS profile. I don't doubt that you prefer to stay close with your seemingly dependent family, but you have to know that location doesn't necessarily mean you'll spend more time with them, especially for your first two years. Thus, I would apply to many many more schools (~1500% of the school you applied on AADSAS 😛 ), then you can attempt to transfer to VCU down the road.
