Missed the Academic Update

Hey guys....
This question is on behalf of a friend of mine who wants to apply to a school with a deadline of Feb 1. Sadly, he forgot to go in and update his grades for the Fall Semester. While the transcript got sent to PharmCAS, he didnt do his part in updating the grades manually. He did so today (January 31). I have tried to console him, but truthfully, I am not sure what's going to happen to his application and was wondering if anyone had some insight. The school in question is UK, but I just want to get some more info just so I can inform him of what to do. He would post on here, but his internet access is limited and I thought that I would get a faster response because I can check it more frequently. Thanks so much.

I think he was trying to say that his friend has to submit the grades to the school (by PharmCAS) before Feb.1st. However, his friend did update on PharmCAS today so the grades will not reach the school on time.

Tell your friend to call the school and ask them for a time extension. If that doesn't work, then make up an excuse that he called PharmCAS and said they didn't process the paperwork on time because of some mistakes. Hopefully, the school will let your friend slide.

If I'm not mistaken UK (we are talking about Kentucky here, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong) will be sending out the invites for their final two interview dates tomorrow, 2/1. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think there is little that can be done to solve the issue.

If you're talking about the school - if they won't return your call or e-mail, drive on down there and deal with them in person. They're probably really busy, but it's hard to ignore someone politely waiting at your desk. 😉
