While I have been waiting anxiously to hear about an NYU interview I didn't realize that I never had even received an "application complete" email from them.

I called, only to find out that I am missing a LOR and that my application that I rushed to send out late June has not even been reviewed.

I have never felt so stupid, and discouraged, in my entire life.

You think I have missed the boat? The guy I spoke with on the phone assured me I had not - but they usually don't know what they are talking about.

Send in your LOR and you should be fine. I think there's an important lesson to be learnt from this. I actually got 4 professors to write me an LOR in case one slacked off I would have the bare minimums to get my app reviewed. I don't think its a killer yet. But just hurry to get your LOR in so they can review you ASAP..

ive called a efw schools and been laughed at for saying september is late. im not sure if we are just anal about rolling admissions around here, or if they say that to everyone to get more app money. *shrug*

alls i know is , schools dont send out acceptances till december. who is to say they dont take someone they interviewed in nov over someone in oct?

Something very similar happened to me along with LOR's. The guy told me the same thing that it didn't really change things, and I shouldn't worry. I guess we have to just keep on keepin on.
