Missing day 1 of orientation

I just matched into a program that starts a week earlier than most. All of my other schools that I ranked started July 1, with orientation the week before. Not expecting this, I'm going to be out of the country, flying in the first day of orientation.
How do programs view missing the first day of orientation?
Will it be a big deal, or something I can easily make up, say on ACLS day (since I'm already certified)?

you'll have to contact them

depending on how reasonable they are . . . it could be anything from a non-issue to a major problem

I'd try to change the flight now; contact your program and see what they say, too. But it's never a good thing to miss the first day of anything :-/
