So my grades for this semester just came in and I'm incredibly disheartened. I missed an A- in biochem by 3 points out of 600, and got a B+. I know it's still an alright grade, but I've been stressing myself out all day thinking that I haven't performed well enough over my post-bacc to warrant acceptances.

Anyone else miss their mark by the slightest bit this semester too? Vent with me!

Although I have never experienced that, I feel you man. But in all honesty, B+ is still a very respectable grade. If all of your other grades are good then you are fine. Relax and enjoy the christmas break!!

I missed my 4.0 this semester because of my stupid spanish class. I ended with a 92.5% in spanish and my professor wouldn't round it up to a 93% for a straight A. Seems like an unreasonably small room for error...

I was once given a B- by an applied professor because he knew I was transferring. He disapproved and let everyone know it. One of two Bs in 6 years, two degrees and 170 credit hours.

Not recently but I miss an A- in biochem by 3 points out of 550. That would be equivalent to a multiple choice on the exam. The sad part was I made a mistake on the exam by circling the wrong answer when I in fact knew the correct one. Oh well, what done is done.

Welcome to life! Don't worry about it. This happens to all of us 🙂 You will drive yourself nuts with all the ifs and buts (at least I do), so just let it be!

I don't know what it is about biochem, but I missed 6 points out of 500 for an A-.

Other stupid stuff: 0.5% away from a B+ in physics 2, 0.3% away from an A- in an engineering class.

But hey....got my 84.5 rounded up to an 85 (A) in pchem, and my 88.6 rounded up to a 89 (A-) in sociology. You win some you lose some.

I was actually .04 percent away from an A- in Biochem this semester. Luckily I did research with this professor so he rounded up. That's too bad you missed by so little, though. But a B+ in Biochem is still a very solid grade.

i feel ur pain guys...3 points from an A in physio now stuck with that B+ lol sucks big time i tried to reason with my prof for the 3 points but no go

I missed an A by 5 points out of 600 and therefore got an A- in a bio class this past semester.

Then again, I got a B+ numerically in biochem and the professor rounded me up to an A (not even an A-) because the improvement from my midterm to final exam was astronomical.

You win some, you lose some. I'm sure you'll get bumped up at some point.

I never have really had an also grade but I did have a grad student F up my grade. In g chem the lab and lecture are one grade and my grad student was a 47 year old lawyer that was getting his masters and would preach about growing up the whole time..... Terrible. I got an a- in lecture and a B in lab and had to convince him to get me the B+ in the class....

OMG i totally agree . It happened to me in three clases this semester where i missed either an A or B by such tiny points which makes me cry. Your not alone I totally feel you. It hurts a lot wuen you work so hard and end up losing while being so close at the edge and getting the lower grade.

But just be persistent n have faith

In retrospect... this class won't matter lol. Take a breather and go relax.
