The Miss-State supplimental mentioned that we should receive an application confirmation by October 31st. I don't think I've received anything--any of you? :scared:

You read my mind, I was about to post the same question. I haven't heard anything either so I was getting ready to email them.
 
I haven't heard anything either, and so I emailed them onm Monday and haven't gotten a response...and that made me even more paranoid! :scared: I keep having to restrain myself from emailing/calling again so maybe after this weekend if you guys hear something and I don't I'll give 'em a ring.

Ohhh goodness this is going to be a long couple of months...
 
I emailed them on Oct 20 (first I emailed Barbara Coats, got a reply that she no longer worked there, then emailed Ms. Hadaway) and haven't heard anything back. I'm glad to know others have heard stuff--I'll send her another email this afternoon!

That's too bad about Barbara Coats, she was a great contact. I wonder if her leaving has slowed things down a little since none of us have heard anything. I was worried because they haven't even cashed my check while all of my other schools have.
 
Barbara was a great ambassador for the Miss State CVM...maybe someone currently in school there can update us on the situation. Missy has also been very helpful.

Well, I have now left a VM (last Fri.) and sent an email (this a.m.)...and no response...😕
 
Got an email back from Missy Hadaway today confirming they recieved all my stuff! 👍
 
Well, they finally cashed my check last week, so that's a good sign. I may just have to breakdown and email them like everyone else.
 
Me neither, Catnapper. I've emailed both contacts on the website (one earlier this week, the other Oct 20)

It's true, Barbara has been gone for about a month now. It was honestly really upsetting to me and most of the students here. Barbara had made a name for herself and the school with her uncanny ability to keep up with all correspondences and make the admissions process run as smoothly as possible.

There are a million and one rumors spreading about the circumstances of her departure, and while the truth may be hidden amongst them somewhere, all they're really doing is tarnishing her name and the fantastic job that she did while she was here.

She is literally one of the reasons I chose this school over the only other school I got into -- she made this place seem like such a friendly community, so welcoming, that it felt like home before I even started classes.

I will definitely agree that her absence is what has led to the lack of correspondence on my school's part. As of a few weeks ago, they were still scrambling for a replacement, although it seems like they may be shifting people around to strategically fill in for now.

Missy is also a lovely person, and we're lucky to have her. She is unfortunately plagued by the day to day problems of us, the whiny vet students, as well, so I'd give her a little more time in terms of getting back to you.

So I wouldn't worry about not having heard much lately -- it has more to do with the transition here than anything on your end =)
 
OMG I just got around to reading this thread - Barbara was so nice to me over the summer, answering many e-mails and taking time out of her own schedule to review my transcripts and give advice before I applied. Ugh, I'm a little heartbroken that she won't be the contact there anymore. 🙁

I also have not heard anything, but I wasn't worried about it since my check was cashed.
 
I got one as well.

It went to my Spam folder though so those that use Yahoo, you might want to look into that.
 
Am I the only one who hasn't received notification from Mississippi? My mailbox doesn't have a spam folder either..so that couldn't be the reason. hmmm
 
I received an email on the 29th saying they hadn't recieved some transcripts. Now I am jumping around like a nut, thinking about driving to Starkville with a sealed copy.
