Hey guys,
I had a quick question for anyone who can help me out. Because I was rushing to complete my application early, I was stupid and didn't carefully read the instructions for a few of the sections (Extracurriculars, Research, Awards). I didn't notice that they wanted you to put these in order of importance and, if still involved in whichever group/research, to put an estimate of when you think you'll be done. I'm kind of worried about this, because I don't think I can change this information anymore. Does anyone know if this is a major deal and/or if there is a way to fix it? Thank you in advance for any help and advice!

I am guessing you already clicked the e-submit button? If so maybe you can try calling them to clear your account (clear the written text), I knew someone who had a similar mistake

Yes, I already e-submitted June 6th. Do you think that it's too late if I call tomorrow about changing it? AADSAS has already calculated my GPA but hasn't received my LORs yet. I just hope that I'm not too late and that this is a major screwup... Do you know if your friend realized his mistake and fixed it right away? Thanksor your help Kryptonite!

I left the end dates blank if i was still involved in the extra curricular activites, or job because it said right under the box that "leave blank if still involved" or something like that even though in the instructions it asked to put estimate dates.
I don't think it's a big deal if you leave it blank or put estimated dates... so don't worry.

I don't know how it is this year, but last year I had a mistake submitted and they wouldn't touch it. They made me wait until a correction letter arrived about 1 month later and resubmit with the correction...all in all it delayed things like 3 months...still maybe things have changes.

However, I don't really think that it's too big of a mistake to worry too much about as long as everything is on there.

Oh thanks drengineer, that makes me feel a LOT better. I guess the only concern then is my not listing the activities/research/awards in order of importance to me. Hopefully I'll be able to get that fixed. If not, I really hope the dental schools won't be too focused on looking at the order in which I list my extracurriculars.

I would imagine that AADSAS wants you to place the information in order of importance so that when adcoms are skimming through your file it will grab your attention versus being buried within the layers of text. In regards to filling in the information for when certain projects will be completed you can probably fix that with their correction sheet AADSAS will send you. All in all these are really minor problems. If an adcom is serious about interviewing/accepting you then they will comb through your file and informing them of the estimated date of completion of research activities can be given in an interview (which you'll probably have). Besides, I am sure schools will be delighted that you have research experience and will won't even notice the lack of ranking or the omission of certain dates. Best of luck!
