Mitral murmurs quick question

Is MVP also known as the Kentucky murmur and MS known as Tenessee? This probably won't be tested, I know, but I read those terms somewhere and I'm trying to go with the sound of it, and Kentucky sounds like a systolic murmur which would mean MVP and Tenessee sounds like it would be a diastolic which would mean MS. Or am I wrong and do those names correlate to some other murmurs?

Our friends at wikipedia says that they refer to S3 and S4 sounds.

Thank you! I started to think I read it in some UW explanation but forgot to write it down. Whoever says wiki is garbage is just plain wrong.

S4 = ken-TUCK-y

Say 'em outloud. You'll hear an S3 sooner after S2, due to an increased blood flow during rapid ventricular filling (volume overload, i.e. HF, MR).

You'll hear an S4 later, due to the atria contracting into a stiff ventricular during reduced filling (reduced compliance, i.e. secondary to HTN, AS).

You probably read'em in Bates, that's where i remember them from. It is confusing though and doesn't make sense according to one internist at my school.

Hmmm... and all this time I thought S3 was "kentucky" and S4 was "tennessee". Wouldn't the progression be: S4__S1______S2__S3? Maybe I'm wrong?
