Mixed Feelings about My Acceptance

Then I remember that I know people who went through 3-4 application cycles and didn't get a single acceptance. 1 acceptance would have changed their life forever.

I'm on number 3.

And I am not sure about those people who say reapplicants have a worse chance. My first year I had one interview, second had two, and this year had four (two of which were at places I interviewed the previous year). Most of my applicant has not changed since round one. Of course I still don't have any acceptances yet, but then two of my schools (where I had my best two interviews to date) have not had my file come up yet in committee. One school of which had faculty saying things that were very ego boosting and basically said I almost certainly was going to get in. Of course I haven't gotten the final results for the year yet so who knows

I don't want to be specific, but the school is in Illinois.
