Hi, I have an interview coming up at ASDOH and I was wondering if anyone can explain this a bit more? Is the MMI portion of the interview computerized? Are they going to ask us scenario questions about ethics like what would you do in this situation?
I really appreciate anyone's help thanks.

MMI:
The Multiple Mini Interview (MMI)with a standardized patient ,the MMI is a circuit of 3 timed independent interview stations with a standardized patient. Each interview station is unique and chosen for its relevance for assessing a candidate's overall acceptability for admission into the program. At the conclusion of the interviews, MMI score sheets for each applicant are processed and forwarded to the Admissions Committee.

This is what I was told via email from ASDOH

I interviewed there last year.

It really isn't bad at all. You will be asked to speak with three separate standardized patients behind closed doors. They will tell you about the problem they are having and you will have to respond according to what you think is best for the patient. There won't be an obvious 'right' answer, which is a big part of why they do this. They are testing a lot of things with the MMI. How well do you speak with patients? Are you calm or nervous? Are you professional? Will your decisions be ethical? How do you handle pressure when you don't know exactly what to do?

I would have to know specific procedures or just general consulting simulations?
And thank you so much for responding!

You don't know anything about specific procedures yet and the school understands that. That is why you are applying for their program after all. They will just present you with very general scenarios. I don't recall if we were asked not to divulge what the standard patients ask, so I don't want to go into too much detail, but I will say that you should not worry about this part of the interview process because it is really designed to get to know you more than anything. The hardest part of the interview I thought was the group project, because some people can be very bossy and try to take control of the group right off the bat. I assume this doesn't bode well for them.
