To me it seems that the molecular geometry of SF4 should be see-saw (4 bonding pairs, 1 lone pair), but the answer to chad's review questions for day 2 says square pyramidal. Is this a mistake, or am I mistaken. Any clarifications?

Its Moleular geometry is See-Saw.
Its Electron Domain Geometry is Trigonal bipyramidal.

Btw, where do you find the Chad's question sets?
I only have the Chad's videos....

for see-saw or Trigonal bipyramidal and octahedral bipyramidal...

This can occur only with expanded octets right?

Well, this was the question with his answer:
1) What is the molecular geometry of SF4?
A) Trigonal Planar
B) Tetrahedral
C) Square pyramidal
D) See-saw

Mr. Dental:
You can find the question sets on the website on the page where you can click premium videos or supplemental material, click on the supplemental material and you can find question sets for all of the different lectures.

Luv8724:
Yes, these geometries will only happen with expanded octets (period 3 or lower).
