Hey everyone,
Hope the final exam rush has not managed to dampen your spirits..
I have a question for anyone who might be near Moline IL this summer. I got aan awesome internship there for the summer , but my preceptor already 'warned me' that 'there is really not much going on here.' She also siad that I will pretty much not have that much of a social life becasue it is a very small town etc etc. Do any one you know what the deal is there? Is Moline really that small and is there really nothing to do for a young(ish) student? I took the posotion obviously but I thought I'd shoot out a note to see if there were any RX folk around.
Good Luck with finals!!

The Quad Cities might not be Chicago, LA, or NYC, but I wouldn't classify it as "small town." I went to college about 45 min from there and we'd drive up for shopping, movies, etc. You'll make of it what you want.

I was born and bred in Moline. It's not that great of an area (about 300,000 people in the greater Quad Cities area, retail based economy), but I think it should suffice for the summer. I don't know how old you are or what you're in to, but in my heyday my friends and I used to spend a lot of time partying in the district of Rock Island. There are several riverboats if you enjoy gambling. Or if you're a more outdoorsy recreation type person, try taking a bike ride along the river. I escaped for greener pastures so these are all the suggestions I can think of for now.
