Hey all,

Some of you have already posted some answers to these questions for me but i thought the more opinions the better, so thanks to those who have already given me some insight on this and anyone else willing to shed some light on the questions below would be greatly appreciated. I'm a fourth year dental student applying to GPR programs and i was there a few weeks back for an interview and thought it was a great place. A few more questions for you if you don't mind:

1) With the implant experience of only 5-6 implants, do you feel that is enought to start doing some cases after you finish the GPR?

2)How is the Oral Surgery experience and do you get experience extracting wisdom teeth (bony impactions, etc.)?

3) In terms of other aspect of dentistry like crown and bridge, endo and perio, how has your experiences been so far? ie. rotary endo, crown lenghtening surgery, etc?

4) It seems the program has a lot of emphasis on the medical rotations ie. anesthesia, ER, Internal Med and that takes up a good chunk of the year, do you feel this is an asset?

5) Lastly, How do you like living in the area, do you live in the "Monte Housing", is it safe, do you still get time to enjoy the "Manhattan/New York Scene"?

I'm very interested in this program, i'm willing to put in whatever time is needed to get the best experience out of it and also hope that i'd get to experience New York City as well since its a really cool place to be. Thanks for your thoughts and insight on this.
