I'm supposed to do an observership at Montefiore in NY this summer, has anybody done it before? A colleague in my class did it last year and said it's not really a true externship program, so it wasn't that organized. He was free to do/go wherever he wanted... but often didn't know where to go. Did anybody have similar experiences? Is it worth it?
Also, I was wondering if anybody could suggest places to stay for cheap? My friend stayed at the hospital I believe for 90$/night. Anywhere a bit cheaper? Preferably as close as possible to the hospital.
